Programme 5.1 — the annual flagship platform for Puntland’s industrial capabilities
Objectives
- Show what Puntland produces — by cluster, with product exhibition and demonstration.
- Connect producers to buyers, distributors, contractors, public buyers and investors through structured business-to-business meetings and matchmaking.
- Bring government and industry together in a government-to-business dialogue.
- Recognise industrial achievement through the Puntland Industrial Awards.
- Deliver training and technical workshops to industrial participants.
- Generate revenue and sponsorship that contribute to HIIL’s sustainability.
Components
- Exhibition: Sector exhibition zones for C1 to C6; exhibitor categories for industrial enterprises, suppliers and service providers, institutions and sponsors; product exhibition and demonstration.
- Business programme: Business-to-business meetings; buyer–seller matchmaking; investor engagement sessions; government-to-business dialogue.
- Knowledge programme: Industrial innovation and technology showcases; training and technical workshops; launch of the annual Puntland Industrial Sector Report.
- Recognition: Puntland Industrial Awards (programme 5.2).
- Organisation: Organising committee chaired by HIIL with Chamber co-organisation under the MOU; exhibitor registration through the Platform’s Expo portal; sponsorship tiers; media and communication strategy; budget framework; post-event evaluation and report.
